For every low competition keyword that you choose you should not ignore the high competition keywords, either. You still will need them indexed with the search engine and continue to use them as part of your overall marketing plan to increase your website’s level of authority.

Blending the two can increase your website’s ranking over time. You can choose to focus only on the low competition keywords, especially when cost is a factor, and build up your list of phrases based on those words. This is becoming the faster ticket to internet based success.
